It wont happen because of politics but the answer to my mind is simple. Two top flight leagues with 16 teams each. Scotland cannot sustain any more than that. The lower half of the teams in the 2nd flight will probably choose to be part time. Two up two down with clubs from the Junior leagues being 'invited' to take their chance in the pros. Many may not want to. The Old Firm B teams idea is not a good one. All you would get is the two teams pushing for a promotion they couldn't have each year because they buy up all the young talent. Better to have the young players from the giants loaned out to other teams. None of this will happen and the Scottish game will continue to go down the pan because of too many vested interests.

An SPL2 is not the way forward the SPL should be restructured,We should change to 16 or 18 teams in Premeir League and have 2 Lower divisions calling them what ever you like the name of the league does not matter it will not make the Lower leagues better or worse because of the name but those in charge don't have the know how to run a league it would be better if we had people in charge who actually knew what they were doing but they don't
