One of the major reasons for Chelsea’s impressive start to the season and why they are considered as hot favourites to win the title is that their newcomers have hardly taken time to gel into the squad.
Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas, both are firing all cylinders at the moment and have forged a some-what telepathic understanding between them. The former Atletico striker has scored nine goals so far in the league, with four of his goals has been assisted by Fabregas.
Despite his heroics for the club, Costa somehow has failed to recreate that magic for his country, having failed to open his goal scoring account for Spain in nine matches.
“He will score soon (for Spain), I have a very high opinion of him and sometimes bad streaks happen but he’ll break it soon.”
Is it just a bad streak? Or is he finding difficulty to gel into a new team? Whatever it is, he needs to score before the pressure starts mounting on his shoulders, if not already.
