Premier League clubs Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal have suffered a massive blow in signing Radamel Falcao in the summer transfer window as AS Monaco striker is keen on returning to Spain.

The Colombian international left Atletico Madrid and joined the Ligue 1 club in the summer of 2013. However, it is believed the 28-year-old is unhappy with his life at Moncao and considering a switch this summer.

According to the Spanish newspaper AS, Falcao will reject a chance to sign for the Premier League clubs as he is eyeing to join Atletico’s derby rivals Real Madrid this summer. The South American hotshot suffered a serious injury in January and making recovery from the ruptured cruciate ligament injury.

Falcao spent the last five months recovering from injury in Madrid and was undergoing a rehabilitation programme with specialist physiotherapist Joaquín Juan. The Monaco striker now wants to continue his life in Spain, with a transfer in the summer.

The former FC Porto star has informed his agent Jorge Mendes that his dream is to join the Champions League winners. Real are willing to offload their striker Alvaro Morata and their manager Carlo Ancelotti needs to bring in a striker to the club.

The former Chelsea and AC Milan manager has already informed that Morata can leave Real.

“The player has decided to leave in search of more minutes and the club has agreed it,” The Express quoted Real manager as saying.

United, Chelsea and Arsenal were are all interested in signing Falcao this summer. Monaco star is aware of the situation at Santiago Bernabéu and has made himself available to Madrid after rejecting the chance to join the Premier League clubs.

Falcao is waiting for Real to make an approach for his services, despite having contract at Monaco till 2018. Should the 10 time European winners sign the Ligue 1 striker, he will join France international Karim Benzema at the Bernabéu.

Chelsea are already edging towards sealing a deal for Atletico’s Diego Costa, while Arsenal are rumoured to sign Mario Balotelli and Mario Mandzukic. United, meanwhile have the services of Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie, along with Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez.
