DC was an embarrassment in this tournament. The rest of the event has been very good, but honestly if Tom Soehn isn't sacked soon I would be very disappointed.

Great piece. I've been very pleased with the Superliga this year and think this is growing into the legitimate champions league for north america especially in the conscience of the public in the US and Mexico. CONCACAF's new venture has a way to go to gain this sort of credibility with fans. Potentially having as many second division sides from the US league as MLS sides is helping that tournament. Montreal beating Toronto, the current situation in the US Cup and Puerto Rico qualifying put a damper on that event. We all like underdogs, but if MLS sides do not take qualification for the CCL seriously enough that they keep losing to USL sides, than that event isn't worth it.
