What Software Do You Use? – We use WordPress to run Soccerlens. Although WordPress is usually deployed as a blog, we’re using it more a traditional CMS. To learn more about WordPress and how to use it read their Getting Started with WordPress Page.

Working With Soccerlens
May I republish articles from Soccerlens on my own Website? – You may not republish full articles from Soccerlens without our direct permission (and in most cases if permission is sought we will still say no). Feel free to quote anything from this site (within reason – ie a paragraph or two is pretty normal) with a link to it as a source, but keep in mind that this is copyrighted material. We regularly find people who do republish my articles without acknowledgment of source and/or without permission and pursue them to remove it.
This applies to anyone interested in aggregating content from Soccerlens as well.
If you’re interested in using specific images / quotes from articles from Soccerlens for offline non-commercial usage, please attribute Soccerlens as the source.
Can Soccerlens link to my website? – While we’d love to link to every Soccerlens reader’s website but due to the large numbers it’s impossible. You’re welcome to shoot us an email to tell us about individual posts you’ve written if they relate to the topics Soccerlens covers / has covered in the past – but we can’t guarantee to link to all such submissions simply because we get a lot of these emails.
Can I leave a link to my own blog in my comments? – While we’re not big fans of signatures in comments they’re allowed IF the comment is relevant to the post or the discussion. If your comment is only a link, or says something like ‘nice post – here is my blog’ etc it will be treated as comment spam. At the end of the day, we decide what is and isn’t spam. The best thing you can do is keep your comments helpful, engaging and on topic and you won’t have a problem. We use ‘no follow’ tags in comments anyway – so you will not benefit in an SEO sense by doing it either legitimately or spammily.
In addition, you might also want to read our comments policy.
Do You Do Product / Service Reviews? – Although we get a lot of these requests we try to accommodate as many as possible provided that they are directly related to football and specifically our audience. The review requests that we turn down are either not related to football or they aren’t something that our readers would be interested in.
How Do I Advertise On Soccerlens? – Please read the ‘Advertise on Soccerlens’ page.
