Sir Alex Ferguson: Sell Ronaldo To A Mob? I Wouldn’t Even Sell Them A Virus!
It is transfer time and understandably speculation on Cristiano Ronaldo has started to sprout. And understandably Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is not very happy with the current situation.
Spanish paper El Mundo recently carried a news in which they quoted the Real Madrid diretor Pedro Trapote as saying that they have reached an ‘gentleman’s agreement’ over the Cristiano Ronaldo situation and shall sign the 23-year old Portuguese international winger in the summer.
Sir Alex Ferguson though seems to have no knowledge of the deal. Instead he has gone on a full blown attack on the Spanish champions and has christened them as a “mob”. He has gone on further:
“Do you think I would get into a contract with that mob? Jesus Christ! No chance. I wouldn’t sell them a virus. That’s a no. There is absolutely no agreement at all between the clubs. I said to [chief executive] David Gill that you can bet your life that in January the rumours will start up again. We’ve just got to ignore them.”
Well, given what Real Madrid have done, are doing and will possibly do in the coming months, it is hard not to agree with whatever Sir Alex has to say about the Madrid giants.
But what has the man in the middle of the storm, Cristiano Ronaldo, has to say about this. Well, here you go:
“I don’t want to talk about it. I just want to win the Club World Cup trophy.”
Well, if you read it carefully, he said that he doesn’t want to talk about it. Maybe he could have said that he has not signed any agreement. But he didn’t.
Is it only me or are you too getting some ideas here?
He said it a couple of weeks ago, so why keep ranting about it?
It’s really very poor etiquette for a manager to thrash out at another club like that because of something the stupid merdia made up…
Ruud, if the media made this up then Real should be furious and saying so! The circumstances, what was said, how it was said and by whom was very explicit in the report.
Anyway, its hard to decide who are the biggest tossers, the Real Madrid management or the Spanish press.
If I was a Real fan I’d be highly embarrassed at how the club is run by these children.
I cant imagine M.U without ronaldo…. they play bad without C.R….. that’s why fergie don’t wan to sell him… why real madrid after C.R? they already have a complete squad… just need to improve on playing style and defending!!!!
