Should Arsenal dump Lehmann?

Personally, I think he’s past his prime – he had the whole of last season to ‘live up’ to his heroics from the 2005/2006 season (when Arsenal went to the CL final) and it’s understandable that he couldn’t manage it. However, his performances for Arsenal have shown a steady deterioration and while he’s not ‘bad’ overnight, his concentration is suffering and as a result his reflexes are bound to be slower as well (incidentally I think Edwin van der Sar will go the same way).

On the other hand, a lot of Arsenal fans have a soft spot for Lehmann and he IS a good keeper. It’s just that he’s becoming too error-prone as of late (and I say this after last season, not just the last two matches for Arsenal).

So what do you guys think? Should Arsenal give Almunia and Fabianski more playing time this season to ease them into a starting role for the second half of the season or even next season?

Or should Arsenal stick with Lehmann and look for a new keeper next summer?
