Bologna 2009 Centenary Kit

Back in 1909 in Italy, a club was formed and named Bologna FC. That very club plays in the Serie A now. To commemorate their one hundred years of survival, Bologna and their kit manufacturer Macron have revealed a special kit. Bologna will wear this kit on October 4th, the day after their anniversary, against Genoa.

The shirt has ‘BFC 1909′ embroidered on the pocket and ‘Bologna 1909-2009′ on the back of the collar. Just like the original version, the shirt will have no sponsor, no manufacturer logo and no club logo on the shirt. It will just be plain blue and red.

AC Milan 09-10 Home Shirt

milan_0910-home_kitbag

Adidas manufactures the traditional black and red stripped AC Milan shirts. The next season’s shirt is not very different either. Black and red vertical strips, black shoulders and arms with red Adidas’ special pin-strips going down the shoulder, white collar, Adidas logo in the middle at the end of the collar, the AC Milan crest on the right chest and the bwin logo in the middle.

Torino 2008/09 Kits

Torino teamed up with Kappa to produce their 3 kits for the 2008/09 Serie A campaign.

Home

The solid maroon kit that has nothing more than the classic Torino Badge on the left chest.  Add two white Kappa logos on the shoulder and the necessary sponsor logo and the kit is complete.

Away

The away kit Torino will wear is almost the same kit, but in all white.  The only difference is the position of the Kappa logos on the shoulders, aside from that it is virtually the same kit.

Third

The third kit is dark blue with maroon trim around the collar and sleeves.  I do not like the amount of Kappa logos on the shoulders, but that is a minor dislike for an overall great kit.

Genoa 2008/09 Kits

Genoa turned to Asics to design and manufacture their 2008/09 Serie A kits.  Not too bad of a job either by Asics.

I am not sure which kits will be worn for home, away and the third kits to be completely honest.  If you know, please comment and let me know.

White with red and blue stripes is a great design.  Adding the Genoa badge in the center of the stripes makes it that much better in my opinion.  Good job with this one.

Another is one half red, one half blue with the opposite color on the sleeve.  This design is a classic look for a classic squad.

The last is white with blue vertical stripes with red trim on the collar.  Another nice design by the folks at Asics.

Cagliari 2008/09 Kits

Macron teamed up with Cagliari FC to create their kits for the 2008/09 season in Italy’s top division, Serie A.

Home

The home kit is half red, half blue with white trim around the collar.  The red and blue trim each of the opposing sides color around the shoulders and down the sides.  Nice looking kit.

Away

The away kit is the same kit design but in all white with red trim on the shoulders.  Classic look.

Keeper Kit

As an added bonus I will include the keeper kit in this post, which is a lime green color with black trim.  The keeper kit comes with a mock collar that I am not too fond of.  However it does look good.

Bologna 2008/09 Home Kit

The Bologna 2008/09 Serie A home kit is a great looking all around kit that holds true to the past.  Utilizing the familiar red and blue stripes, this kit is classic because of the white shorts and blue socks that bring the focus to the top itself.  Nice job with this one.

Atalanta 2008/09 Kits

Atalanta and Errea teamed up for the clubs home and away kits for the 2008/09 Serie A campaign.

Home

The home kit is a nice blue and black stripe top with black shoulders.  Nicely done and extremely elegant in appearance.

Away

For the away kit, Errea really nailed the design.  The all white top with blue trim on the collar and sleeves already sit nice on the top.  Adding the blue and black stripes on the right side make it that much better in my opinion.

Udinese 2008/09 Kits

Lotto has teamed up with Udinese for their 2008/09 home and away kits.  I have definitely seen better from Lotto.

Home

The home kit looks like a basketball officials jersey.  Black and white stripes, that are that thin and that close together, do not compliment anything aside from a basketball referee.  I do not like it at all and I think Lotto missed big on this one.

Away

I definitely think the away kit is the best of the two.  Light blue with gold trim on the arms and collar make it sharp and clean.  Two traits I like.

Palermo 2008/09 Kits

Palermo has a unique task for any kit manufacturer. It always looks like a kit made for Breast Cancer Awareness month. Not that it is a bad thing, I happen to think that all sport organizations around the world should do that, but it is a challenge for the manufacturer when your kit is pink and one of the most respected around the globe.

Home

Lotto did a fantastic job on the home kit. Taking the solid pink top and adding markings of black around the shoulders and on the sleeves really make it stand out. Personally this is my favorite of the last couple of years for them.

Away

Another classic design by Lotto to incorporate the pink into an all white top. Having the markings of pink on the sleeves and down the left side really give it a classic feel. I think they nailed this one too, again on a very tough assignment.

Napoli 2008/09 Home Kit

Diadora has always made some nice kits, and providing Napoli with their 2008/09 Serie A Home Kit was easy in my opinion.  The powder blue makes for a great color scheme to work with, so just find a classic looking kit and knock it out!

This kit has a retro feel to it with nothing more than a solid light blue top with a collar.  Add a white piping around the shoulders and sleeves and there you go.  Even the big white Diadora logos that I would hate on any other kit look good.  Great job Diadora on this one.

Inter Milan 2008/09 Kits

Nike and Inter Milan teamed up once again to create the kits for the 2008/09 Serie A campaign.  It is no secret that I prefer simple kits, and that is what we got with these two kits.

Home

Taking the traditional blue and black vertical stripes, Nike did nothing to mess this kit up.  Add the white Nike logo and some gold piping and that is it!

Away

Simple and clean must have been the discussion in the board room when officials were deciding on the away kit.  It is nothing but all white with some black trim.  Some might say a bit too dull and boring, but I love it!

Fiorentina 2008/09 Kits

Lotto is a manufacturer that has always had strong Italian club support, and for the 2008/09 campaign they will supply Fiorentina with all three of their kits.

Home

The home kit is a solid purple with a yellow collar and bronze piping around the shoulders.  My only complaint is the large Lotto logos on the shoulders.  Aside from that it’s a nice kit.

Away

Utilizing the same kit for the away matches, Lotto once again inserted their large logos on the shoulders.  However with an all white top they do not look nearly as bad with the red trim.

Third

This kit is by far my favorite of the three.  Pulling the red from the badge on the left chest, Lotto and Fiorentina went with an all red top.  In this kit the large Lotto logos are surrounded with white, so it is a nice contrast.  I think they are too much, but on this kit they work well.
