Sergio Ramos away shirts

The 22 years old, long-haired defender Sergio Ramos wears the number 4 for Real Madrid and the number 15 for Spain. He’s considered an assett in both the teams and I’m sure without him FC Barcelona’s Carlos Puyol will have to run all over the place to save Spain’s number 1 position at the FIFA World Rankings.

Nistelrooy Real Madrid Champions League shirt

Real Madrid failed to avoid conceding against Liverpool and they have to score 2 away goals at Anfield to secure a place in the next round. I wonder if van Nistelrooy can help with the experience he gained at Manchester United against the other reds. Here’s the shirt he would be wearing at the Champions League, manufactured by Adidas.

Real Madrid 08-09 Home Kit

Real Madrid’s 08/09 home shirt sees a return to black trims and the lines running from the collar to the bottom of the shirt are gone as well. The black trim and the collar gives the kit a more imposing, traditional look.

Real Madrid 2007-08 Champions League Third Kit

Tagged: Real Madrid

When a club like Real Madrid is playing in the Champions League, fans from around the globe are curious to see what kit they will be wearing. Well this year it is one of the best, in my opinion of course. Utilizing a color scheme that has nothing to do with the traditional Real Madrid colors, Adidas and the clubs management came up with a black and lime green combination that is one of the best looking kits I have ever seen.

I know I preach on simplicity, and this kit at first glance appears to be “busy”, however it really is not. Starting with a solid field of black, adding the white Adidas stripes to the sleeves which match the sponsor logo and the lime green markings down the front is all this kit has. It really is not too much at all, and the colors work well together. I think Adidas and Real Madrid did well with this decision, Great Work!

Real Madrid 2007-08 Away Kit

Tagged: Real Madrid

When Real Madrid travels to opposing clubs, they will take the pitch in a simple kit made by Adidas. Taking the gold from the classic Real Madrid badge and using that in the Adidas logo and three stripes down the sleeves is as much flare as this kit has. What I really like about this kit is the use of navy blue and white. The kit is situated on a solid field of navy blue, yet still manages to pull just a touch of white from the badge into the collar and of course in the sponsor logo itself.

I am a fan of this kit, though I think the top itself is the wrong choice, in terms of the design of the kit itself. This particular Adidas kit is designed to have more than one color present on the front of the kit, so a jersey that did not have space that is usually used up by another color would have been a better option. Again simplicity is key, and this is a simple kit.
