Liverpool is currently in a deal with the Danish brewers Carlsberg and the deal is going to end in mid of the year 2010. Carlsberg and the Reds have been working together for the past 17 years but they just couldn’t match up the deal offered by the multinational public limited bank based in London, Standard Chartered.

This new deal will break all the sponsorship records for Liverpool and silence the criticism posed by their own fans that they are always lagging behind their rivals in commercial agreements. This 4 year deal will bring in £20 million every year, hence totaling to £80 million at the end of the deal. This deal matches up to the amount Manchester United will net from their deal with AON, which will also start in 2010.

Liverpool and Adidas revealed the third kit today, that is 16th July, 2009. We have already shown you the Liverpool 08/10 Home Shirt and the Liverpool 09/10 Away Kit. Liverpool will also use this kit in the European competitions in the coming season. Liverpool and Adidas came up with this ‘interesting’ shirt in 1989 to be worn until 1991 for their home games. The shirt is red with a weird crystal-like design in white all over it; I can’t even put it into words what it looks like. Rightfully, they proudly display their sponsor, Candy. It goes with the shirt… Cool, eh?

Liverpool’s current away and third kits are simply horrible. Liverpool fans might think differently but deep down inside they know it dang well, it’s a horrible kit. Out of all the colors known to mankind, Adidas and Liverpool could come up with the weirdest shade of green and that wonderful gray. But this year they have made a better away kit with better colors, black and gold.
