Fulham 09/10 Third Shirt

Fulham have recently revealed their third shirt to be added to their 2009/2010 kits range. This kit will be worn in the second half of the season, starting from their away games with Stoke City and Sunderland. This shirt may also be worn in their Europa League fixtures. A couple of weeks ago, Fulham also revealed their lame attempt at money-making with their 130 years anniversary shirt. 1879 will be written on the back collar of this mainly blue third shirt.

Fulham 130 Years Anniversary Shirt

Fulham was established in 1879, making it the oldest club in London. They made their Premier League debut in 2000-01 and they have managed to stay put since.

Fulham was founded as the Fulham St. Andrew’s Church Sunday School. Their current home stadium is Craven Cottage which recently witnessed it’s first European night. Even though Fulham has produced players like Bobby Robson, Johnny Haynes and Rodney Marsh but they have still been unable to lift any major trophies. The closest they came was their 2-0 loss to West Ham in the 1975 FA Cup final. They have won the Championship twice in 1949 and 2001.

Fulham Away 09/10 Kit

Fulham unveiled their 2009/2010 kits for the away fixtures. The red shirt with black hints is the away shirt for Fulham. It has been manufactured by Nike. It’s a bit too dark for my liking but we will have to just wait and see, how it would look on the players.

Fulham 2007-08 Third Kit

Tagged: Fulham

After a dull design on the Away kit, Nike and Fulham both redeemed themselves with this kit. Officially being called the “Third Kit”, I would hope that it will get more time than the official away kit. This simple kit utilizes a color that is not in the scheme of traditional Fulham colors. This powder blue is only broken up by the Fulham badge on the usual left chest position, and the sponsor logo in the usual center position.

The features that really make this a classic kit are the color and the simplicity. The color is out of the ordinary for a Fulham squad, and the simplicity keeps the kit clean and looking sharp. To me it would replace the official away kit today…but I do not get to make that call. Would be nice if they at least called and asked my opinion.

Fulham 2007-08 Away Kit

Fulham and Nike collaborated again to find the perfect away kit for the 2007-08 season. This however was not the perfect kit. Utilizing vertical stripes of red and black, Fulham left a lot to be desired with this kit. There is nothing that jumps out at me and say’s “this is a great looking kit”. To me it is just another team that is trying to be Newcastle with their kit.

Aside from the poor design, the colors do match the Fulham badge perfectly. Thus creating a seemless transition for the fan wondering what team is playing. Personally I think there was a little more that Fulham could have done with this kit, but this is what they will wear, so we must accept it.

When Fulham walk onto their home pitch this season, it will be in a classic looking Nike top. Together, Fulham and Nike, designed an instant classic with its clean white background that is not bothered by any other colors. With the traditional Fulham badge on the left chest and the sponsor’s logo in the center of the top it makes for a simple yet elegant kit.

One nice feature that could have been done by complete accident is the logo of the sponsor is the same red as in the Fulham badge. This might be a coincedence, but it adds a nice touch. To top off this classic kit, Nike incorporated a collar…a real collar. This is something that many manufacturers have gone away from, thus giving this kit a unique look.
