Crystal Palace 2008/09 Kits

Errea has made some nice kits, and then there are the kits for Crystal Palace.

Home

By far one of the ugliest kits I have seen this year.  Solid white with a red and blue diagonal stripe that goes from the top left shoulder down to the bottom of the shirt on the right side.  Add a large red stripe down the shoulders with the Errea logo in blue all the way down and this kit is horrible.

Crystal Palace 2008/09 Home Kit

Away

Much better kit with a solid yellow top with blue markings.  Simple yet modern, much better than the home kit.

Coventry City 2008/09 Kits

Coventry City called on Puma to design their 2008/09 kits for the 2008/09 Championship League campaign.

Home

Utilizing the traditional light blue of Coventry City, Puma added white vertical stripes to the front and added solid blue shoulders to home kit.  Very nicely done.

Take the same design but make it solid black with orange markings and you have the design that is sure to be a fan favorite.

The away kit is the same design but solid black with red markings where the white were on the home kit.

Third

Why change the design when it works?  The third kit is solid white with red markings and piping along the sides.  All in all, three nice kits by Lotto and Barnsley.

Wolverhampton Wanderers 2008/09 Kits

A yellow and black color scheme makes it hard for anyone to mess up a kit.

Home

Solid yellow, more of a burnt yellow, with black along the sides and trim on the sleeves.  Not too bad.

Wolverhampton Wanderers 2008/09 Home Kit

Wolverhampton Wanderers 2008/09 Home Kit

Away

Solid black with “Electric Yellow” trim.  Typically I am not a fan of the “Electric Yellow”, but with just a touch of it for trim on the away kit, it seems alright.

Watford 2008/09 Kits

Diadora has always been one of my favorite manufacturers, goes back to my days as a youth player.  They teamed up with Watford again for the 2008/09 season.

Home

The tradtional yellow is trimmed by black and red piping with red trim around the collar and sleeves.

Doncaster Rovers 2008/09 Kit

I had never Vandanel before, but by the looks of the kits for Doncaster Rovers I am already a fan.

Home

Red and white horizontal stripes with solid red sides makes this a great looking kit.  I like it.

Swansea 2008/09 Kits

Umbro has created great kits, and horrible kits in their time as one of the world’s most well known manufacturers.  Swansea got the Umbro that creates great kits for the 2008/09 season.

Home

Solid white with black markings and a black collar mixes nicely with the team badge and sponsor logo.

Swansea City 2008/09 Home Kit

Away

Basically the same design with minor modifications.  All black with white markings again mixes well with the team badge and sponsor logo.

Burnley 2008/09 Kits

Burnley and Errea teamed up for the 2008/09 Coca-Cola Championship League campaign.  Not bad, but nothing spectacular either.

Home

Maroon with light blue on the right side and sleeves.  Nice color combination and design.

Burnley 2008/09 Home Kit

Away

Light blue with a darker maroon on the right sleeve and collar.  I like the design with the color scheme.

Cardiff City 2008/09 Kits

Joma has really expanded their amount of teams with kit sponsorship over the last few years.  Cardiff City has jumped on that bandwagon and relied on them for the 2008/09 season.

Home

The solid dark blue top has gold on the sleeves with white trim.  Nothing fancy, just your basic home kit.

Cardiff City 2008/09 Home Kit

Away

The away kit is also very basic.  Solid red with white trim is all this kit has, yet it still looks good.  Very clean and simple.

Derby County 2008/09 Kits

Very rarely does Adidas go from a great kit to a bad kit.  They did just that with Derby County and their kits for the 2008/09 season.

Home

An instant classic.  My favorite kit in the league by far.  White with black is classic and clean, no complaints on this one.

Derby County 2008/09 Home Kit

Derby County 2008/09 Home Kit

Away

Many complaints on this one.  The Chelsea knock off was a horrible choice.  I have never been a fan of the “Electric Yellow” kit.  It is by far one of the ugliest kits I have seen.  Horrible decision by Adidas and Derby County.

Derby County 2008/09 Away Kit

Third

Is this Derby County or Argentina?  I love the design and the color scheme, but can we have a little difference between what the South American power house wears and Derby County?  Two out of Three kits are copies of other squads, we can only hope that we see the home kit more than not.

Ipswich Town 2008/09 Kits

It has been a long time since I have seen a team sponsored by Mitre.  Ipswich Town is the most recent I have seen for their 2008/09 campaign.

Home

All blue with small vertical stripes on the entire top.  Really classic looking.

Ipswich Town 2008/09 Home Kit

Ipswich Town 2008/09 Home Kit

Away

The away is a bit more modern with an all red top and sharp black markings down the sides.  It’s a toss up between the two of my favorite, regardless Mitre did a good job with these.
