Chelsea 2009 FA Cup Shirts

Note: Chelsea 2009 FA Cup shirts with ‘FA Cup final 2009′ embroidered. Pre-order through Kitbag here.

Chelsea beat Arsenal 2-1 and Everton beat Manchester United on penalties to reach the final of the FA Cup which is to be held on 30th May, 2009 at Wembley Stadium. A great new range of Chelsea FA Cup final merchandise is now available on Kitbag.

The range will soon have a special edition of the ‘FA Cup final 2009′ embroidered Chelsea shirt in it. That is, as soon as it is decided whether or not Chelsea will play in their home kit or away kit. If they play in their home kit, they’ll be wearing the new Chelsea home kit 2009/10. That should be decided in another day or so hopefully.

New Chelsea Kit | Chelsea’s 09/10 Home shirt released

Note: The Chelsea 09/10 home shirt is released on 1st May. You can order it through Kitbag here.

The Chelsea shirt for 09/10 season is manufactured by Adidas of course. This shirt is said to be based on the ‘cycling top’ but looks more like a shirt that has been made from a bra to me. Anyways, that’s not the point here. This shirt doesn’t carry a zipper like a lot of people had thought it did. It seems like it does but it does not… Deceitful, eh?

Weird football merchandise… like really weird!

A few weeks ago I came across some rubber ducks with football club logos on them. I was surprised to see them and had a good laugh since my club didn’t have one. Since I made that post, we at Soccerlens, went out looking for all the weird merchandise we could find related to any club. So, here is a list of things that we found on the internet:

Ballack’s number 13 shirts

The German midfielder, Michael Ballack wears the number 13 for both Chelsea and Germany. He is indeed a good player to have in your midfield although Chelsea couldn’t take complete advantage of his abilities. Then again, Chelsea hasn’t been able to take complete advantage of anyone in or around their squad lately. But lets just leave that discussion for another day… here are the shirts Ballack wears:

Chelsea 08-09 Third Kit

Chelsea’s 08/09 third shirt is – ta da – yellow. Not electric yellow but mango yellow. If you’ve never had mangoes, well, it’s the brightest natural yellow you can find, and it’s so yellow that you can’t help mistake it for anything else.

Chelsea 08/09 Away Shirt

Chelsea’s 08/09 away kit will be launched on 10th July and is available for pre-order right now.

This year Chelsea have gone with a black away kit – you can hardly go wrong with black, but then again once you move away from electric yellow black almost seems tame in comparison.

Nothing spectacular about the kit – the usual Adidas stuff on the shoulders, sleeves and sides. I’d make a joke about Chelsea’s football being as exciting as their black and white shirt but the kit is decent, so let’s leave that for the 3rd kit, eh?
