Rubin Kazan sign deal with Umbro
The Russian champions, Rubin Kazan is currently wearing Nike manufactured kits but their deal expires with the 2009/2010 kits. They have now signed a deal with Nike’s British subsidiary Umbro. The deal will end in 2012. ABM SPORT, the Umbro representative in Russia, said that the new shirt will be unique and manufactured using the latest football shirt technology.
The Director General of Rubin Kazan, Eugeny Golov said:
“We are Russian Champions; we represent our country in European cups. So, we need better conditions for our infrastructure. We have three professional teams and a sport school where over 1000 children are trained. It is a chance for us to provide so many people with a good-quality outfit of a single color range. That’s why we have chosen Umbro company. I hope our cooperation will be long-term, and footballers wearing this brand both in Russia and Europe will be satisfied.”
The players are looking forward to the new kits their captain, Sergei Semak was reported saying that he hopes it will bring good luck for the team. Like they need more luck, they’ve already defeated the mighty Barcelona at their home in the Champions League.
