Premier League Kits

The Premier League 2009/2010 season kicks off from Saturday, 15th August, 2009 with all of the teams playing their first match that day. A lot can be said about who will dominate the season with one analyst disagreeing with the other and with one fan disagreeing with the other and yet no one will be sure of what is going to happen in the upcoming season. But there is one thing we can state for sure, the kits your players will be wearing on the pitch.

Don’t be mad if your team is listed towards the bottom, this is an alphabetical list of the Premier League clubs and their home, away, third kits respectively:


Arsenal Shirts

The Gunners ended up 4th in the 2008/2009 season. This season they will be hoping to improve their rankings with sleek new away and third kits. Nike manufactures Arsenal’s kits.

Aston Villa Shirts

The Villans were 6th last season and with their cool new away kit which seems to be the fashion this season. Nike manufactures Aston Villa’s kits.

Birmingham Shirts

Birmingham came 2nd in the Championship and was promoted to the Premiership. Umbro manufactures Birmingham’s kits.

Blackburn Shirts

The rovers have been in the Premiership since the 2001/2002 season and in the last season they could only come up to 16th position. Lets see what the 2009/2010 season has in store for them. Umbro manufactures Blackburn’s kits.

Bolton Shirts

One of the oldest members of the top division in English football could only get the 13th position last season with 41 points in 38 games. Reebok manufactures Bolton’s kits.

Burnley Shirts

Burnley won the play-offs for promotion into the Premiership beating Shefflied United with a 13th minuted goal. Burnley has never been relegated from the Premier League because this is their first time in the current format first division as they have been recovering from a major set-back leaving them in the fourth division in 1987. Errea manufactures Burnley’s kits.

Chelsea Shirts

Just 4 points short of 2nd position, the men in blue will look to perform better next season under Carlo Ancelotti. Adidas manufactures Chelsea’s kits.

Everton Shirts

Everton were just 9 points behind the top four. As always they’ll be on the hunt for something more than just the fifth position. Le Coq Sportif manufactures Everton’s kits.

Fulham Shirts

Fulham has been in and out of the premiership but they’ve been in since 2001/2002. Nike manufactures Fulham’s kits.

Hull City Shirts

The Tigers debuted in the Premier League last season and they escaped relegation by just one point. Letting Newcastle United take the fall to the Championship. Umbro manufactures Hull City’s kits.

Liverpool Shirts

While everyone was walking together, they came four points short of the champions and secured the 2nd position last season. Can Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres show some magic this season? Adidas manufactures Liverpool’s kits.

Manchester City Shirts

The surprise move of Robinho did not help them much and they were 10th at the end of their 38 games. Better than being relegated though. Le Coq Sportif manufactured Manchester City’s kits but Umbro will manufacture their kits from now on.

Manchester United Shirts

Champions of 2008/2009, the Red Devils will appear in a really cool retro home shirt. Nike manufactures Manchester United’s kits.

Portsmouth Shirts

The Pompey got 41 points in their 38 games last season and this new season they will need to do something special. Canterbury manufactures Portsmouth’s kits.

Stoke City Shirts

Securing 12th position last season, they also still have to be relegated from the modern format Premier League. Le Coq Sportif manufactures Stoke City’s kits.

Sunderland Shirts

Sunderland has survived two seasons in a row even if it meant playing more matches then gaining points. They’ll be playing their third season in 2009/2010. Umbro manufactures Sunderland’s kits.

Tottenham Shirts

The Spurs were eighth last season with such a perfect goal difference of zero. Puma manufactures Tottenham’s kits.

West Ham Shirts

West Ham stood 9th last season, this season does not seem to be any easier for them. Umbro manufactures West Ham’s kits.

Wigan Shirts

Wigan was founded in 1932 and for the first time in their history, they got promoted in 2005/2006 to the top division football. They’re probably the only club today, which can proudly say that they have never been relegated from the top division football let alone the Premier League. Nike used to manufacture their kits but this season they changed their sponsor and their kit manufacturer to Vandanel.
