Lyon’s new shirt sponsor: KOOL SHEN
I always though the first hip-hop artist or a rapper to get a football sponsor to promote themselves or maybe just be cool will be 50 Cent, Diddy, Snoop Dogg or someone of the like but thanks to Universal Music, KOOL SHEN steals the opportunity and becomes the first rapper to have his name appear on a football club’s shirt.
Ok, what has happened is that Lyon, BetClick and Universal Music have taken an initiative to promote the name of the rapper KOOL SHEN through the sponsoring of the shirt for the game against Marseille on Sunday. It is one of the biggest game in Ligue 1.

The rapper stated:
“I am passionate about football, to find me on the jersey of the seven-time champion of France is a great honour.
In addition I am happy to be 1st artist who enjoys this kind of association. With BetClick, my album will be promoted in a unique area I like: football. ”
BetClick is the major partner in the club and their founder and president Nicolas Beraud said:
“This event with Kool Shen, Universal Music and Olympique Lyonnais illustrates our commitment to be an active partner, not just club leaders of French sport, but also and especially to their fans.”
The rapper is a poker fan and a supporter of PSG. For the release of his new album Crisis of Conscience (released November 2), Universal Music and BetClick joined forces.
