There are still seven months to go in the biggest competitive stage in the footballing world, the World Cup 2010 in South Africa. Too early to predict anything but that does not mean we can’t reveal our World Cup kits! Germany sure thinks so. Yesterday, Michael Ballack, Philipp Lahm, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Per Mertesacker came in front of the media wearing the 2010/2011 kits manufactured by Adidas.

The shirt is traditionally plain white with a black collar and black Adidas pin-stripes on the shoulders and down the sleeves to meet the black end of the sleeves. There is a black, red and yellow pin-stripes going behind the emblem of the Germany national football team, which is on the left side of the shirt. The Adidas logo in the middle under the collar and the shirt number of the right. They will black shorts with it.


Captain Michael Ballack said:

“The new jersey gives us an extra spark for the upcoming preparation for the 2010 World Cup.”

Moreover, Erich Stamminger from the Adidas group added:

“Adidas is the number one brand in football, a fact underlined by today’s presentation of the German jersey and the corresponding communication.”
