New England Home Shirt And Videos

Written by Ahmed Bilal. Tagged: 2009/2010 Kits - England - Features - Umbro

The new England 09/11 home kit is now available for sale – buy it through Subside Sports (more details on this below) or Kitbag.

Umbro went all-out for the promotion of the new England shirt, releasing a spate of videos and interviews related to the manufacturing of the kit before the official launch. Umbro concentrated on making a really traditional home kit for 2009-11, and the response to the shirt so far has been mixed.

It is a plain white shirt with a white collar, the new England crest on the left (with a star representing the ‘66 World Cup win above the crest), the Umbro logo in red on the right and it is said that under the new England crest the name of the opposing team will be written (not applied to the replica shirts). They will wear plain white shorts and plain white socks.

Following the same theme (tradition) for the goalkeeper kit; the goalies will wear a plain green kit which is exactly the same as the outfield player’s kit in all other aspects.

If you purchase these badges and show your support for your soldiers and your country, Subside Sports will pass on £5.00 to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal and is contributing all material and labor costs associated with this campaign.

  1. I don’t mind this at all. It looks functional, classy and deliberate. Boring? perhaps, but it’s a soccer kit, and in reality all it has to be for it to work in England’s case is white if it’s home and red if it’s away. I like that they’ve opted to go so straight down the line with the design, no gimmicks or trim, just a really honest presentation.

I like the second kit but the first is horrible,The best kit of England was the kit in Portugal Eurocup 2004.
