Umbro SX Valor II

SX Valor Specifications

Several layers of kangaroo leather give the boot a nice soft feel for an automatic touch as well as a lightweight TPU heel counter for support and stability.  Both of these features give any boot great protection in today’s fast paced game.

SX Valor Blue

This boot will be worn by John Terry and is beautifully designed.

SX Valor Gold

Worn by Deco, it is not as nice to look at as the SX Valor Blue.  Still a nice boot.

SX Valor Ultra Black

My favorite of the three.  I love a traditional looking boot with a modern flare, and this is it.  Umbro’s attempt at adding extra power and swerve to shots.  These boots will be worn by both Terry and Deco and will certainly be a huge hit with players around the globe.

England Home Jersey 03-04 (Holiday Special)

Tagged: England - Umbro

For all of you die hard England fans out there, or if you know someone who is and would enjoy a great gift for the holiday’s.  Our friends over at Subside Sports are having a massive holiday sale and here is one of the better jersey’s for sale in my opinion.  The 2003/04 Home Kit worn by England at 70% off the original.  In my opinion of course, this is one of the best kits England has ever worn, but you can decide that for yourself.

Nottingham Forest 08-09 Home Kit

Nottingham Forest’s 08-09 home kit is, very, very nice - bright red base with limited white trim on the collar and sleeves. the Capital One logo is inconspicuous (a good thing if the logo is average to begin with) and Umbro have kept the shirt simple which works quite well given the color scheme:

Blackburn Rovers 08-09 Away Kit

Blackburn’s 08/09 away shirt has a navy blue base with royal blue trim on the collar and sleeve ends and white and royal blue strips running down the center of the shirt (broken by the CP logo).

You have to see it to believe it, but I think Umbro have done an excellent job with the away kit and come up with a progressive shirt design that perfectly accommodates the Crown Paints logo.

Birmingham City 08/09 Away Shirt

Birmingham City’s 08/09 away kit is a cross between last season’s 3 kits - a white top (away) with a red vertical panel in the middle (color: third, style: home).

It makes for a decent-looking kit but when taken in conjunction with the home kit and comparing the two with last year’s kits you can’t help but get the feeling that they saved money on the creative process this season and churned out average looking shirts.

Birmingham City 08/09 Home Shirt

Birmingham City’s 08/09 home kit sees Umbro make a return to all blue, with an imposing white collar added along with white-rimmed sleeves and splashes on the side.

It’s less impressive than last season’s kit but is a solid shirt nevertheless.

Hull City 08/09 Away Shirt

Hull City’s 08/09 away kit is an excellent design by Umbro - all gray (or flint, as they officially call it) with amber and black trim. The Hull City crest is in the center (with the Umbro patch above it) and the shirt is sponsored by Kingston Communcation.

Credit to Andy from Hull City Online for sending in info on the shirt.

Sunderland 08/09 Away Shirt

Sunderland’s 08/09 away kit is due to be launched on 8th July 2008. The official description reads like this:

“The new Umbro away kit design for the 08/09 Premier League season features a V-necked shirt with broad royal and navy blue stripes, teamed with navy blue shorts with a royal and white trim. The socks are royal and navy hoops.”

In one word - smashing.

West Brom 08-09 Away Shirt

West Brom’s 08/09 away kit is yellowish gold with black (green?) trim - some people have objected to the kit colors for resembling those of their rivals Wolves, but to me it’s a good away shirt for the Premier League and the fans will warm up to it once they see it worn by the players.

West Brom 08-09 Home Shirt

West Brom celebrate their return to the big time with new home and away kits for the 2008/2009 season. The 08/09 home kit is the traditional navy blue and white stripes, with the Umbro logo and West Brom crest taking up their usual positions. I especially like the collar on this kit - imposing and stylish.

West Ham 08-09 Away Shirt

West Ham’s 08/09 away kit is strikingly blue and refreshingly so. The sponsors’ XL logo takes center stage in white with claret and white stripes running horizontally on below the neck (claret) with the Umbro logo on the right and West Ham crest on the left.

Some people have criticised this kit but I think Umbro have done an excellent job with this design and the West Ham 08/09 away kit is one of the better ones around (especially when matched up against the likes of the Liverpool away kit).
