Nike Air Zoom Control II Indoor Boot

Tagged: Football Shoes - Nike

Well we do not only post kits on this page, we also do product reviews for equipment as well.  Today we review the Nike Air Zoom Control II Indoor Boot.  Wow.

This boot is made up of Kangaroo Leather with side lacing to help with striking the ball on the upper.  The famed Nike Air in the midsole and a new gum rubber on the outsole to give the player traction and ball control.

Enough with the technical side of it, this multi-colored boot posses colors such as red, yellow, orange, light blue, lime green, maroon on the heel, pink on the inside and the traditional black toe patch for durability.  On top of that wide array of colors, this thing glows in the dark!  You know, for all those late night street games where no one can see.

I honestly think it will be popular for the kids, but I can not see anyone past the age of 15 wearing this thing in a game.  But I have been wrong before.  Check it out for yourself below, and if you want a pair then head on over to SoccerPro to get them!

Inter Milan 2008/09 Kits

Nike and Inter Milan teamed up once again to create the kits for the 2008/09 Serie A campaign.  It is no secret that I prefer simple kits, and that is what we got with these two kits.

Home

Taking the traditional blue and black vertical stripes, Nike did nothing to mess this kit up.  Add the white Nike logo and some gold piping and that is it!

Away

Simple and clean must have been the discussion in the board room when officials were deciding on the away kit.  It is nothing but all white with some black trim.  Some might say a bit too dull and boring, but I love it!

Pink Mercurial Vapors - Nike goes Pink Panther (with Franck Ribery)

Nike’s Mercurial Vapor IVs have been one of the hottest football boots this year (from the original IVs to the Euro 08 edition, and now Nike have released a new version called Mercurial Vapor Rosa, in a fetching shade of pink.

Boots have been many colours over the years but pink is certainly a new one. To celebrate the boot release Nike have got a new video starring the mercurial Franck Ribery of Bayern Munich and France - a tribute to the iconic Pink Panther - which is a good bit of fun. You can check it out here:

Manchester United - no. 9 Berbatov Shirt

Manchester United signed Dimitar Berbatov in the nick of time yesterday - he’s taken over the #9 shirt from Louis Saha (now at Everton) and you can get your Berbatov shirts by clicking on one of the links below (I like the one in blue best):

Manchester United 08-09 Away Goalkeeper Shirt

Manchester United’s 08/09 away goalie shirt is bright yellow and although the shade is less torturous than electric or bright orange, one wonders why Nike would play with yellow on United’s kits?

Going to black for the keeper kits would have been a better idea this season considering how people have clamored for them, although since this is a ‘blue theme’ season I suppose yellow goes better with blue.

RC Lens 08/09 Home Kit

At first glance, Nike seem to have blown this one - a red and orange checkers pattern is no way to design a kit, regardless of how good the idea looked on the design table.

However, it’s a bold design and one that could arguably used to give players a certain swagger when they step on the pitch - as long as they’re OK with the opposition players pointing and laughing.

Barcelona 08/09 Home GK Kit

The Barcelona 08/09 home goalie shirt is all black with the usual Unicef logo across the chest. I don’t why Nike keep adding that stripe from collar to opposite shoulder - makes the kit (and the dozens of training kits they put it on) look like robes instead of shirts.
