Totti’s Roma and Italy shirts

Italy’s phenomenal volley specialist Francesco Totti is an example of a truely club loyal player. At the peak of his career, he could’ve gone to any club he wanted to but he didn’t. He chose to stay with his club and performed for his club and today he’s a legendary striker who is feared all over the world. In recent times, there hasn’t been a player as good as Totti in AS Roma.

Kappa manufactures the Roma kits and Puma manufactures Italy’s kits. Totti’s number 10 AS Roma (home and 3rd) and Italy (home) shirts are up for grab on our affiliate’s website Subside Sports.

Italy 2008-09 Home Kit

Tagged: Italy

World Cup Champion Italy has unveiled their 2008-09 Home Kit. This is the same home kit that will be worn for the Euro 2008 Tournament.

The Italians have always had nice kits. From the days of Roberto Baggio to the present, the blue and white has always seemed to be one of the nicer kits in the world. The new away kit is by far one of my favorites, but where does this new home kit stand? Well to be completely honest with you I think it a spectacular kit. It’s simplicity is in the solid blue that is not contrasted by any more than the gold around the collar and sleeves. The gold brings out the Championship stars in the badge and makes sure you know there are now 4 stars there. Overall this kit is extremely simple and clean, but does not jump out and say I’m perfect. So for me it is a solid 4 out of 5 stars.

Italy 2007-09 Away Kit

Tagged: Italy

While looking through a publication a couple weeks ago, I came across the new Italy away kit by Puma. It does not happen very often, but I could not get over how great this particular kit looks. Aside from the traditonal blue home kit, which is set to be revamped and unveiled next year, Puma and Italian officials went with a white away kit.

On a solid field of white there is nothing more than the Italy badge and a few Puma logos. That is it in terms of marking on the kit itself, but there is the gold trim around the sleeves and collar that really bring out the Championship stars on the badge. Another nice touch to this kit is something that Puma has been doing with the most recent kits, and that is adding the national colors to a small spot on the front of the collar. Add that with a traditional collar and you have one of the nicest kits in the world. Italian fans should run out and get this kit, because it is not often that a kit can become a timeless piece of merchandise…such as this one is. 5 out of 5 stars from me…it is nothing short of perfection.
