France Drops Adidas for Nike

France Drops Adidas for NikeWell this is the end of an era for French fans. As our partner Marco reported over at soccerlens.com, France will make the switch from Adidas to Nike as their kit manufacturer in 2011. I will let you read Marco’s post over at soccerlens.com, but I wanted to give everyone a heads up. Interesting…I guess we’ll see if Nike can make thier kits better than they have in recent memory with the current sponsors.

France 2008-09 Away Kit

Tagged: France

France recently released the kit they will wear for the Euro 2008, and probably some other home games throughout the year. But scanning our friends over at Subsidesports.com I came across the new France 2008-09 Away Kit. Shocked was my first reaction. Really? Red?

Well red it is. Solid red. Not white with red, or blue with red…but red. Honestly I like it, I think it is a great contrast to the traditional French kits. However some French fans have been strongly opposed to it, which I’m sure might change if this kit brings them wins. However with the simplicity of the kit design, the solid red top with blue and white stripes is all this kit needs. Add the new FFF Badge on the left chest and you are done. I want to seriously give this kit 4 out of 5 stars, but it is hard for me to get past the solid red. So from me it gets 3 out of 5 stars.

France Euro 2008 Kit

Tagged: France

France has released a special kit that will be worn for the Euro 2008 with a new home kit to be released after the tournament. France has long been known for the great looking and stylish kits, and what they will wear on the pitch for the tournament is no dissapointment by any means.

Utlizing the solid field of blue that has become a staple with the French team, Adidas added a red, white and blue collar along with the stripes down the sleeves. This adds a nice touch and really brings out the French National colors. Another nice touch is the red and blue markings on the front of the kit, gives it just a touch of flare in an otherwise simplistic kit. One interesting feature is the new FFF logo. Officials changed from the traditional to a more modern look of the logo. I like the new logo and the new kit. This deserves 4 out of 5 stars.
