09-10 Manchester United home kit | Pre-order NOW! | Revealed!

Manchester United’s new 09/10 home shirt seems to be plain red with a black stripe on the front and black collar, white shorts and a red stripe going down the sides. It’s the last season AIG will be sponsoring Manchester United, but that’s a different story.

From the leaked images we had before, it seemed like Nike was trying to milk the historical aspect as much as they could, while keeping the kit’s design to be both historically relevant and fashionable, as it was evident by the attempt to design a schoolgirl uniform with the white V and full collar.

That does not seem to be the case! Whatever the case might be, you can now pre-order your Manchester United 2009/2010 kits from Kitbag. Don’t forget, you heard it on Soccerlens!

On 4th June, 2009 Umbro and Manchester City announce a ten-year brand partnership. The new City kits will go on sale on 18th July, 2009. City broke off their deal with Le Coq Sportif and revealed their new 2009/2010 kits with Umbro with the announcement.

This is not the first time Umbro will be manufacturing kits for City. Some 75 years ago, Umbro supplied kits for City when City won the 1934 FA Cup final. Today, the company and the club are trying to revive those memories and pay tribute to the 1934 win by wearing the old kits with the modern touch. From the images Umbro has revealed, it seems like they’ve come up with one of the better retro football shirts coming out this season… After all, Umbro is a subsidiary of Nike.

Images and descriptions after the jump…

Everton 09-10 Home Shirt

everton_8385-homeEverton has launched their 2009/2010 season home shirt and it will be launched on 27th June, 2009.

Everton has shifted to Le Coq Sportif from Umbro from the upcoming season and they’re paying their tribute to the 1983-85 seasons when Everton won the FA Cup, the English First Division and European Cup Winners Cup.

Their 1983-85 shirt is pictured on the right. Their 2009-10 shirt looks pretty much the same like their 83-85 shirt and the only difference would be the end of the sleeves, the sponsor logo and the new club crest.

Barcelona Winners Range

In the 2009/2010 season, one of the bigger clubs from Spain, Barcelona, won three trophies: The Copa Del Rey, La Liga and the Champions League. Not only that, Barcelona had a massive goal difference of 70 in the league and their front three players (Samuel Eto’o, Lionel Messi and Theirry Henry) scored over a 100 goals together in all competitions. Also, Barça beat Real Madrid 6-2 at Bernebue; breaking the previous worst defeat at home for Madrid.

Before the Champions League final, there was a talk about Manchester United and Barça, both being the deserving winners of the final. But, after watching Barcelona completely out-playing United, it was pretty clear who the deserving champions of Europe.

New Chelsea Kit | Chelsea’s 09/10 Home shirt released

Note: The Chelsea 09/10 home shirt is released on 1st May. You can order it through Kitbag here.

The Chelsea shirt for 09/10 season is manufactured by Adidas of course. This shirt is said to be based on the ‘cycling top’ but looks more like a shirt that has been made from a bra to me. Anyways, that’s not the point here. This shirt doesn’t carry a zipper like a lot of people had thought it did. It seems like it does but it does not… Deceitful, eh?

Bumpy Pitch - Retro Soccer T-Shirts

Soccer tshirts are both popular and a tough sell - with everyone and their mother putting up soccer tees for sale through their sites, differentiating yourself in the market, providing quality and driving sales can be a difficult proposition.

Our friends at Bumpy Pitch have solved the problem with some style - their soccer t shirts collection is, in their words, “a retrospective look back at the teams that have played a part in shaping the sport of soccer in the United States”.

This historical positioning makes for simple yet quality soccer shirts that stay true to traditional US sports tees culture and give their wearers a sense of history and belonging to the beautiful game.

Here’s a quick look at some of their best shirts:
