Bundesliga club Bayern Munich have announced that they have reached an agreement to extend their deal until 2013. Their current deal was expiring in 2010. The general manager of Bayern Munich, Uli Hoeness, said that the revenues from this deal will be performance-related. Bayern would net an estimate of 25 million euros per season. This is more than Manchester United and Liverpool will be making from their new deals.
Uli Hoeness was full of praise and said that the deal makes him proud and happy to create a win-win situation for both parties. On the other hand, marketing director of T-mobile, Christian Illek, said that Bayern are helping the company develop and implement future multimedia services.
If Bayern are to miss out on a European competition spot, the revenues from the deal will be cut down but if they are to win a major trophy the revenues will shoot upwards.
