Sheff utd now have the cash the say they missed out on. Sheff utd players are paid by Sheff Utd. Therefore It is Sheff Utd who should pay their players any lost earnings.

Its about time we got back to playing the game and keep the courts out of football. As far as I am concerned, Warnock is afailed manager who resigned, was not sacked, despite the numerous mistakes he made whilst getting his club relegated. The players are even worse; it was in the hands right up until the last game. All they had to do was win at home. Warnock & the Sheffield players should take a long hard look at themselves and get back to playing the game.

fair point, fixed the headline to reflect the truth of the matter. as for scott duxbury, the blame lies with him, not with the club or the fans, made my arguments on this in previous articles.

the whole thing is right out of proportion. if west ham didnt use tevez in the last game of the season against man u, they would have drew 0 – 0, meaning west ham would stay up.

so this is just the players trying to make even more money, despite earning stupid amounts of cash to kick a ball around already, even in a credit crunch. how they can try and sue when they lost the game anyway, which is their own failure.

plus tevez is at man u now. on a none perminant contract. meaning tevez is either currently owned by west ham or he is still on a third party deal and man u are using him to help win the league, twice, and should be sued for stupid amounts of money by chelsea. and how leeds, wigan, bolton, fulham and even liverpool have all hinted at compensation just shows how greedy football has become rather than being a real sport.

if the premiereship decides its worth a 5mil ban then thats the rules.

Your headline isn’t factually correct. Sheffield United aren’t making any claims, they have settled their dispute with West Ham. Their former manager and, as I understand it, former players are considering legal action. Doesn’t make such a snappy headline I know, but don’t let that stand in the way of considered journalism.
