BTW – I don’t think it has anything at all to do with good reporting or bad reporting – that irrelevant.
It’s an opinion and I’m bet I’m not alone in this. Sheffield are just coming across as the ultimate victims….not the fans – the management.

I personally think that West Ham may have got more points, but have done some dodgy dealing to do it. Sure they’ve been punished with a fine – I remember Middlesbrough a few years back being deducted points for not fielding a side, whereas I’d say West Ham have done far worse than that.

Ultimately by staying in the Premiership because of it, they’ve made one hell of a profit out of this whole thing.

It just doesn’t make any sense. If something wrong has occurred here then surely it is the FA’s duty to right it. If they fail to do it then surely Sheffield can sue the FA. But how in the World can West Ham be adjudged to be at fault (at least, so long as the FA maintain they are not)?

It seems likely that what Sheffield are really after is a settlement. However, though I know basically nothing about law, I would be super surprised if this case wasn’t thrown out.

This is the thing, if Sheffield United want to get all fussy with contractual agreements they should look at themselves. Didnt they do wrong when they said a player couldn’t play against his former club.

Ed Harrison-you a West Ham fan right?? Erm, turn the tables, it was Sheffield United with two dodgily signed stellar young talent and West Ham go down because Sheff Utd got away with it by ‘ripping’up an agreement they had with the boys’ owners and you know the rest- wouldn’t you/West Ham still be bleating on about it. Forget about the ins&outs and what they said and what he said she said, put simply, turn the tables and think with all honesty how you/West Ham would react and Robert’s your Father’s brother you’ve got egg on your face-of course you’de crying foul and demanding compensation!!?? And no, I aint a Sheff Utd fan either. Crap article masquerading as something intellectual (and yes Sheff Utd should get over it but hey, who can blame em for still moaning abhout it??)- note to Ed, no not Ed Harrison, but the Editor(s) of Soccerlens, please next time don’t bother with this pie in the sky style of dismissive reporting next time??
