the issue isnt that they have a talented squad, it never was an issue. the issue was that the squaddies, taylor, taylor, harper, let alone the duffs and smiths, are on 40k a week. the “better” players, if that’s the right word to use, are on 60+. barton, duff, viduka and martins are all on 60-80k, owen is leaving on a free so that helps. but their relegation is about wages, not players. THATS what the issue is for newcastle. this article is a moot point.
