Shaun Wright-Phillips returns but can he shine for City?

It’s taken 3 years, but Shaun Wright-Phillips has finally admitted that it was a mistake for him to move to Chelsea. It doesn’t matter that he’s the last person to do so – by returning to Manchester City, SWP has made a commitment to play regular football over the next few years in a bid to revive his club and international career.

He’s not going to be enough to take them to 5th or 4th but a full season with SWP playing on the right will get them that much closer. Probably a lot cheaper in transfer fees and wages than Ronaldinho too. Now if only City could bag a decent striker instead of an over-the-hill fat Brazilian (talented or not, he’s a risk), they’ll start looking good.
