I caught the highlights on footytube.

For a league with a reputation for boring, overly tactful and slow football the Milan derby looked like a spectacle of football.

Nice review, like you mentioned AC looked very very flat except for the tireless efforts of Flamini and Pato the lone ranger upfront.

Inter fans will be excited, AC were blown off the park. Milito and Eto look very sharp upfront and Eto looks like he's gelled quiete nicely. With his pace and strength he should cause plenty of damage in the Serie A this season, 20 goals should be a formality. Sniedjer and Lucio look like great signings and to be honest Jose should have a good go at the Champions league this season.

For AC, Ambrosini, Seedorf and Ronaldinho all seem like dead, planks of wood!

I didn't see the game but I feel like I did now! Great summary, Neil.

I don't understand why one of the English clubs didn't go for Sniedjer. I picked him in my 'Team of 2008' last year and took some stick for it!

This is one of the best articles l have read in a while. Very well done. shame we couldn't see the game, except on the newly added extortionist ESPN channel on SKY.
lnter look strong, really strong this season. with Balotelli and Santon, Muntari and Vieria, Cambiasso and cordoba, Quaresma not in the starting line up, that is something to behold. l think lnter got the better deal re Eto'o: Ibra. The team has no self proclaimed saviour anymore, it's a TEAM now... wonderful Sniedjer at the top of the diamond and Stankovic and Zanetti beside and behind, in front of Motta, it's potentially the best team in ltaly, maybe Europe.

Nice work, Neil! I think Stankovic was quietly superb and that Ronaldinho looks like he needs to be checked into a rehab clinic. I'd love to be a fly on Berlusconi's wall!
