Crystal Palace continued their majestic run of form with an away win at West Ham thanks to Mile Jedinak’s penalty. In their last eight games Pulis has seen his men record more points than Chelsea, with 16 compared to the “little horse’s” 15.

The former Stoke manager has truly worked wonders since he took over the club. The win over the Hammer’s makes it five in a row for Palace, and they have kept a clean sheet in four of those wins.

With another win to their name, Crystal Palace palace now sit conformably in 11th place, remarkable considering how everyone, earlier in the season, were convinced that the London club were heading for relegation. Pulis has always been associated for his talent at building compact and disciplined teams that were hard to play against, his time at Stoke personified such resilience and the board at Crystal Palace will now be rubbing their hands together after making such an appointment.

Five wins on the trot with four clean sheets is a testament to the work he has done at Palace. He will be up for the manager of the month award no doubt, but will probably just be overshadowed by the unstoppable Liverpool under Brendan Rodgers.

Next up is Man City at home, followed by Liverpool at home, two very tough fixtures, but with the form Palace are in you can’t help but think they will get something from both of these games. There are still twists to come in the title race and these twists could definitely occur at Selhurst Park.
