Manchester United have announced the signing of Bastian Schweinsteiger.

The Old Trafford outfit confirmed the agreement on their official website and the German international will now undergo a medical, before completing his move to the Premier League.

Germany manager Joachim Low expressed his opinion on the midfielder and claimed that he can make his mark at Manchester United.

The Bayern Munich midfielder had been linked with a move away since the end of last season and will now continue his career in England. The World cup winner is believed to be signing a deal worth in the region of 1,80,000 pounds per week and will be handsomely rewarded with a sign on fee of around 4 million pounds.

Former Germany international Oliver Bierhoff stated that the reason Bastian joined Manchester United was to add a Premier League medal to his glorious collection.

The player is set to undergo his medical later today and will be presented tomorrow as a Manchester United player, according to SportBild.
