Schmap Premier League Widget Review

The Schmap Premier League widget allows sport fanatics to spice up their website or blog with the latest results from their favorite team, and contrary to its name, provides a lot more outside of the EPL.

The Schmap Premier League widget allows you to see the updated fixture list and results from your favorite top-flight side, complete with scorers from Matchday 1 to Matchday 38.

But, even if your readers aren’t Manchester United, Arsenal, or even Sunderland fans, the widget goes far, far beyond the Premier League.

Not only can you see updated info from La Liga, Serie A, the German Bundesliga, and Ligue 1, but you can also get the latest from the many of the major American sports – NFL, NBA, NHL, Major League Baseball, NASCAR, and college basketball – and from the major golf tours around the world. For the American sports, when you check out the scores, you can click on each one and get the recaps from ESPN, which is a neat little feature, unless you hate ESPN.

So, there’s a little something for everyone, or for most people, at least, unless you’re looking for the latest rugby or cricket scores, and if you ask nicely, Schamp will likely make that possible in the near future.

And besides the scores, the widget also allows you to get a zoomed-in view of your selected team’s stadium, so after you see that your favorite team have won the championship or saved themselves from relegation with a dramatic victory on the final day of the season, you or your readers can zoom in on the stadium as they imagine what it must have been like to witness the excitement.

This widget is a great tool for those who don’t really have a lot of time to go and surf for all of the scores, or open up 13 windows for everything. However, for those who like getting or giving as much detail as possible, there’s always the option to go to your favorite sites to get all of the in-depth info like shots on goal, complete lineups and substitutions, and all that good stuff.

But, if you want to give – and get – the basics (because wins and losses are all that matter, when it comes down to it, right?), then go to and get a handy little widget for your website (see the Manchester United widget in action at Red Rants).
