Sara Carbonero – Babe of the Month (August 2010)
Rising to worldwide fame in the space of a few weeks of the 2010 World Cup, Sara Carbonero, first came to public notice when she was revealed as Spain and Real Madrid captain Iker Casillas’s new girlfriend prior to his trip to South Africa.
Then, English media went crazy when they found out that Sara was reporting on the sidelines when Casillas and Spain were playing. Quickly, someone cooked up a story that Sara was a distraction for Casillas which led to their defeat at the hands of the Swiss. Moreover, Spanish media was blamed for the claim.
As Spain was dumb-founded over the story, their national team went on to win their first ever world champion crown and Sara got a hold of Casillas in a post-match interview. He cut the interview short by kissing his lady in front of the national television – making her one of the most famous women in Spain and the rest of the world.
Consequently, Sara lands our August 2010 spot of Babe of the Month.
