The Chelsea star struggled to fit in at Stamford Bridge and was loaned out to Fiorentina last season. The Egyptian became an instant hit in Serie A and Fiorentina wanted to make the deal permanent.

However it is understood that after speaking to Rudi Garcia, the Roma manager, Salah has decided to sign for the capital club.

Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas confirmed that the transfer will be sealed soon.

‘Sure, after the results of the medical are concluded, they can take one to two days.

‘Furthermore, Salah will only accept a loan where the club has an obligation to buy him, not an option to buy him.

‘Lots and lots of teams were interested in Salah.’

Fiorentina are furious with the situation and are demanding some sort of compensation from Chelsea.

Although Fiorentina remain an obstacle for Chelsea and Salah, it is believed that the player will force a move to Roma and has his heart set on playing for Garcia.

Amidst all of this, Salah is finally set to join a club permanently and is expected to help Roma bridge the gap with Juventus next season.

The Egyptian will be hoping to put all the speculations behind him and continue developing as a player with Roma next season.

The former Basel man has had a stop start year for the first time in his career last year and will be hoping to showcase his qualities without the off-pitch drama next season.
