Biased articles like this one aside (aluding to "grubby hands"), fact of the matter is that Real Madrid always has been, and always will be - even during one of its longest title droughts - a bigger, more attractive club to virtually every player in the world, including one Cristiano Ronaldo. Maybe part of that has to do with the fact that we've had our "grubby hands" on so many more trophies than Man Utd?
