They are angry fans who don't want to see an asset of the club go. Just like any Premiership club fan would become angry or La Liga, and ect fan would become angry if a player wanted to leave their club. He came here and is now leaving, most likely, before his contract is up (like most players are doing this year). I honestly can say I have no objection for him leaving because he has not drawn me to watch MLS soccer anymore than I have before. I do not think the MLS is below his standards in ability, however it may be below his standards for his fame. Beckham was an amazing player but he is past his prime. He does not deserve an international spot. He is a marketing asset and that is all. I love this site and the people that write for it because they are cheeky and insightful, however, this little excerpt perturbed me and I don't think I would like to frequent a site that singles out such a large audience (especially when bigger clubs' fans from better leagues commit the same offense against players).
