As Sven remarked in the local media this week with a wry grin on his face "why would he swap Champions League for (at best) the Intertoto Cup?" He will also want £100,000 per week minimum and we just don't have that kind of money until Thaksin has his funds released. Realistically we will be looking more towards the likes of Aeron Lennon, SWP, Podolski etc. Not quite the same league but still a step up from the legend that was Barry Conlon.
