Haha Ces, I hadn't thought of that but it's so true.

And Jacob I completely agree, from what we know so far something doesn't quite make sense - why would Robinho just jump ship to a (currently) inferior club?

I'm sure Robinho wanted to come to Chelsea and it wasn't entirely about the money. I think Scolari could get more out of him than Hughes, he would have got to play in the CL this year and almost definitely the years to come, and would have got to live in London.

The only reason why I can see him agreeing to move to City is because R. Madrid gave him no other choice. Once they saw the City bid come in I'm sure it would have been very easy to back him into a corner by refusing to sell him to Chelsea - he was hardly going to stay at Real and hope for better luck in January, was he?

The best part of the story is that now the new City owners are saying that they want Ronaldo, too, and will pay 135 million pounds for him. Poor Robinho, he can't get away from being second fiddle to Ronaldo, no matter where he goes.

Robinho is up there with the best players in the world (messi, ronaldo, kaka, gerrard) and him going to city for me can only be stepping stone. The only way city are going to be able to challenge the top 4 is by offering greedy players 300,000 a week and even then some of them may still not want to come. City are not in the champions league so therefore any player joining them will probably have to sacrifice champions league football for two years before returning to the biggest platform for exposing their talent. Top player will not be willing to do this greedy players will. The difference when Chelsea started their revolution is that they had qualified for the champion’s league and therefore they were a more attractive prospect

Hope City & Tottenham do well, even though I support neither of them. SWP, Elano, Petrov in mid is as good as any other premier league side. Jo and Robinho are the same. Ditto Kompany, Richards, Dunne. All young players as well.

Tottenham look a good side as well I love Modric, dos Santos, Pavlyuchenko etc

Quite honest, I know almost nothing about the Manchester City team besides the fact that they have Elano, another Brazilian player. However, I can guarantee you that Robinho will elevate the team´s quality in the game. He´s a great kid with an enormous talent. I´ve allways been a real fan, but at this point, I´m really disapointed at Madrid directives for letting Robinho go. Good luck Robinho, I know one day you´l make your dream come true of becoming the world´s best soccer player and the Premier league is the league for you to probe it...!

He didn't turn down the offer he just wanted out of madrid. it's real that turned it down and sent him to a destination of their choice just not to meet with his desire to join chelsea those bastards and plus City is not playing in the champion's league

Ahmed, Corluka went to Spurs today for £8.5m, and it's Kompany. Sorry to be picky! I see Robinho playing behind Jo. Has everyone forgotten how good Martin Petrov was last season?
Regardless, United have got their man, even if its taken the best part of 3 months. Forget about Arsenal's brand of football, watch us when we get everyone fit and into our rhythm!
