Why Liverpool should be 2 points ahead of Chelsea and why West Ham should have lost by 4 goals…
After the second weekend of the new season, there’s only one Premier League team left with a 100% record, according to the Right Result.
Chelsea miss-out on the chance of joining Liverpool on two wins out of two as Blues keeper Petr Cech’s blatant push on Emmerson Boyce at a first-half corner should have earned Wigan Athletic a penalty and - in conjunction with the RR rules and regulations - an equaliser and fully deserved share of the spoils.
West Ham United’s Lucas Neill was a Right Result regular last season and the Hammers skipper is off to an early start this term.
His attempt to head clear a Manchester City corner with his hands just before the break should have extended the visitors’ misery to a 0-4 defeat.

What a crap thing to say … Robert green saved nearly every penalty last year (4 i think) the penalty incident was at 0-0 so if they had a penalty & green saved it, it could’ve given west ham a boost and they could’ve won the game. (doubt it though)
Rubbish. If Cech hadn’t defended himself Boyce would have run over him. Boyce charged backwards at a rate of knots without looking where he was going and with the ball nowhere in sight. Boyce should’ve been booked for dangerous play.

I don’t see how the Cech incident constitutes a penalty. Cech is standin in his goalmouth as Boyce runs backwards into him. Cech braces himself against Boyce to avoid being knocked down. Boyce spins off Cech.
What was Cech supposed do? Was he supposed to be steamrollered over from a guy running straight into him? Should he have got out of the way? Someone explain why Cech commited any foul.

I thought it was very kind of the referee to let liverpool score in the 5th minute of the 4 minutes allowed for stoppage time. New stop watch required?
JP for the record there were numerous stoppages in extra time for the liverpool game. injury time didnt even start until 91 mins and 10 secs had elapsed. There was a further delay after the goal was scored. The time keeping was actually spot on and i am not just saying that as a liverpool fan
in the man united match vs portsmouth wayne rooney should have had a goal when the assistant give ofside when rooney was nearly a yard onside

As a player who want to score such a goal shouldn’t go for goalkeeper he go for ball.
