Arsenal slip out of the top 4

Arsenal appear to be getting their Premier League season back on track, but not in the world of the Right Result.

For the second week in a row, the Gunners have had a win turned into a draw due to RR decisions.

This week, Wigan Athletic should have taken a point from their trip to the Emirates as Kolo Toure’s clumsy challenge on Henri Camara should have resulted in a penalty to the Latics.

It all means that Arsenal have dropped out of the top four in the Right Result table.

Middlesbrough have also attracted Right Result attention on consecutive weekends with no less than three incidents in their defeat at Hull City.

Boro became the latest team to fall victim of the Tigers, but by a wider margin than first seemed.

Shortly before Boro took the lead at the KC, City should have been awarded a penalty for Emanuel Pogatetz’s foul on Daniel Cousin.

Although it was a very marginal decision, Middlesbrough’s goal should have been disallowed for offside. Scorer Tuncay’s left leg was shown to be nearer to the Hull goal line than both the ball and the second last opponent.

To the frustration of the Boro party, the Tigers should not have been handed the penalty for their second goal as Geovanni – who subsequently became the victim of the foul – was clearly in an offside position.
