RVP was clearly offside. But if any Gooner wants to say otherwise, they do have a valid point. On the replays, one Chelsea defender(Bosingwa or Cashley Hole not sure who) marginally plays RVP onside just after Denilson releases the ball and before RVP touches it. If RVP was running forward and had moved offside before Denilson released the ball, it could have been called offside. But in this instance RVP was already offside and was played onside by the Chelsea player just before getting the ball. I would call it a good decision by both the linesman and the referee. Anyway what are Chelsea fans complaining about? Both their goals in the corresponding fixture las year were offside. John Terry should have been shown a straight red for his filthy challenge. The same goes to Ivanovic(think thats his name).

I think Arsenal showed gr8 strength and character….if u jus crib abt Van persie’s 1 st goal…such things happn in ftbl..bt i guess chelsea hd a whole load on 30 mins 2 come bk…the 11 chelsea plyrs on the pitch were all worth 150 mill pnds…i thnk chelsea were very lucky nt 2 be 10 men down aftr the referee showd real mercy 2 ivanovic…who actually was plyn a rugby mtch…..The main reason behind Arsenal’s win las nite was Mr.Wenger’s 12 yr experience on the club…which big fat Phil lacked….Gunners 4 life

Since when did teams ‘deserve’ or ‘not deserve’ to win games ???
Its always a huge issue when Wenger says the team ‘deserved’ to win but lost or drew…yet when they do win albeit with a decision, suddenly teams then become ‘deserving or not’

Arsenal beat Chelsea 2-1. For once a decision goes our way and there are issues with that yet when most other teams win in the same…then its part of the game.

You dont support Ferarri by any chance do you? Get over yourselves already !

well..the first goal was offside….but in the corressponding fixture last year…drogbas first goal was also offside..justice has been done…arsenal had more shots…chelsea barely tested almunia…so i guess chelsea got wat they deserved…

It was offside but who cares, we’ve had so many bad decisions go against us it’s about time one went our way.

When Chelsea beat us last season video evidence indicated that both their goals should have been disallowed.

The technology is there so why not use it to get these major decision right more often than not, which regretably is not the case at present.

Yes the first goal was offside so we were lucky there. I beleive chelsea were also a bit lucky in their first goal. Yes it was a good ball played into the box but it was still an own goal. Had Djourou not stretched his leg Gallas would have cleared it. So there is an element of luck involved in that goal too. Our second was justified. We had more possesion, more shots at goal, more shots on target. If it did finsh 1-1 then maybe thats a fair game, but if anyone deserved the win, maybe im biast, but i think Arsenal did.
