To those of you outside of Spain, don’t be so mad at GolTV (or any other channel). Simply put, it wasn’t their fault.

There is a battle going on in Spain right now over TV rights. Two companies are involved, AudioVisual Sport and MediaPro. The way the rights are divided between them is convoluted to say the least.

But basically AVS says MP owes them a debt of nearly 60m euros from last season that MP insists it doesn’t owe them. So on Saturday night, AVS (which owned the television rights of the game) did not allow MP’s (which owns the international distribution rights) cameras into the stadium. Hence no derby for those abroad.

It looked to me Gol TV knew that they would have not had the Madrid Derby for TV. They would not of had the Bayern Munchen match over lap with the start of the derby.

PISS POOR FUCKING PLANNING BY GOL TV.

The stupid Bayern (they beat Hannover 96!? Surprise!) game was televised instead of this one….very irritating! To add injury to insult, I’m (hopefully temporarily) blind after having to look at Ribery so many times…

Atleast real madrid now have a few up and coming young players like drenthe,sneider and robben although i dunno how robben drenthe and heinze are gonna play.on the left side.barca reminded me of they way united started yesterday

I think Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have both gone a long way towards building squads that are not only good on paper but look good playing together as well. It should make for interesting viewing in Europe, at least
