so the same excuse is there when he was in tottenham..

3mth later.. he will go.. “I had no strikers.. huntellar was so scrwed”.. and he will be fired..

Real should have sacked him maybe 3 weeks ago? and Dave Stopher, spurs did not start well cos they held on too long to Berba for top dollar(or is it pounds?) and paid the price with a poor start to the season.

Schuster cornered himself into a position where Real Madrid President Calderon had no choice but to take action. The news reports that it was mutual might be published to save face for both parties, but after weeks of receiving full confidence from the board, Schuster makes a ludicrous statement that Real Madrid would be unable to win at Camp Nou. Even if there’s a 99.9% likelihood of that happening (I’m still cautious as a Barcelona fan), you never make a statement like that, especially coming off the heels of a morale crushing 4-3 loss to Sevilla at home. I don’t blame management on this one. We can fault and point fingers and even laugh at the way Real Madrid have dispensed with league winning coaches (Del Bosque, Capello), but in this instance Schuster wasn’t touched even after the loss to Getafe. In fact, if Calderon didn’t act, the board might have been the target of even heavier criticism.

As for the appointment of Ramos… I’m certain there is a collective belief that the early months in Tottenham are an aberation on Ramos’ CV. Even if logic suggests that such a belief may have no grounds in being true, if you’re Real Madrid and nine points back (plus already being condemned to lose in the minds of some), desperation will land any conceivable signing. But as a BarÃ§a fan, I worry sometimes that we might have hit our top gear too early in the season. Only a 5-0 win reminiscent of the days of Romario, Laudrup and Stoichkov this weekend will confirm whether BarÃ§a can win the league by Christmas. A wounded Real Madrid though is always a dangerous Real Madrid.

the children of the football world have don it again!! it wasnt the summer long pursuit of ronaldo, or the up coming elections, or the unbalances squad, or the injuries, its all schusters fault for indirectly saying barca are playing superior football which is absolutly 100% true.. Real should have never sacked capello.. the way this club is managed is a joke

well we all knew he would be sacked sometime, and logically Juande Ramos who had huge success with Sevilla who is available would be well in the running.

In a simple answer NO. Barca are too strong and im afraid there wont be much of a race in spain this year. The Spanish league has gone really crazy this season were it seems anyone can beat anyone except for Barca.

Didnt we all see this coming? His comments about the upcoming match against Barca were certainly avoidable, but other than that, he did a really good job. If Capello’s team was too defensive, Schuster’s team team played well in attack. But in Real Madrid, only constant success matters. His only big folly was depending on the C Ronaldo transfer a bit too much when he should thought of shoring up the defence. Now how long will Ramos last??????

I think it is a critical time facing Barca next week and Zenet Tom. but for him to say that Real cant win and he is the head coach!!!!!!! that’s not appropriate for fans management and players specially. it also drops into his loyalty to the club and it is not a fighter spirit. ….. well bye chouster welcome Juande Ramos and tighten up your yourself to the new challenge.
