Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has bee in terrific form this season. The Spaniard was at his very best in the last Premier League encounter before the international break. The 23 year old made three astonishing saves including Leighton Baines’ penalty as the Red Devils beat Everton by 2-1 to go fourth in the standings.

David De Gea

De Gea’s contract with United runs till 2016. But if reports from Spanish Media Outlet Mundo Deperotivo are to be believed, Real Madrid are preparing a whopping €30m bid for the goalkeeper. The report also states that De Gea wants a significant pay rise at Old Trafford. The former Atletico Madrid custodian wants  a wage packet  of €150,000 per week. Only then he shall sign a contract extension for five years.

United are believed to be be working on the new deal and are expected to complete the contract extension by Christmas to keep away Real Madrid from snatching the player. However, the Los Blancos’ preparations for the €30m offer seems far fetched.

casillas

Its understandable that Iker Casillas’ poor form has been a cause of worry but the Galacticos recently signed Keylor Navas in the summer in a six year deal. The Costa Rican had a terrific World Cup in Brazil but has featured in only one League appearance under Carlo Ancelotti this season. Thus it makes no sense to pursue De Gea for such an astronomical fee.

Coming to the story in Mundo Deperotivo, its has been mentioned that according to ‘British Media’ (without any names), Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho wants Sami Khedira to join Chelsea in January. The Portuguese will offer goalkeeper Petr Cech in return for a loan deal till the reminder of the season with an option to buy.

Unfortunately, British sources (I’m not taking names) barring a few are neither trustworthy, nor does the report seems believable.
