Earlier today there were reports that Paul Pogba’s move to Manchester United is all but done and could be confirmed by the weekend.

However, there is latest twist in the tale and Real Madrid are now willing to hijack the move.

Los Blancos have apparently called Juventus according to the Italian media regarding Pogba. Real Madrid have promised to match any offer from Manchester United as well.

Initially there were rumours that Pogba prefers a move to Santiago Bernabeu and is only joining Manchester United since the Spanish giants are not willing to pay up for him.

Gianluca Di Marzio adds that the player has now promised Jose Mourinho that he will go to Old Trafford. So the next few days should be very interesting.

If Real Madrid indeed match Manchester United’s 120 million Euros offer for the Frenchman, there is no reason why they can’t hijack the move.

Real Madrid are simply a bigger club and are playing in the Champions League as well.

Ultimately though it will come down to the player and if he has promised to join Manchester United then Real Madrid have perhaps left it too late.
