If we had gone out and splashed £10m on 3 Championship players, would that have increased our chances of staying up? No. But in the media's eyes it would do because it shows our "ambition". Like Coppell said, there is a very narrow market of players who will: a) Improve the side b) Come at a cost we can afford, and wages that will not break our structure c) Want to play for the club and have the right personality If Lita and Shorey leave, which I am certain they only would if we are relegated, we have Shane Long and Scott Golbourne to potentially replace them.
