Manchester United’s big money target regularly follows Chelsea, open to PL move

Manchester United have been linked with several top quality midfielders already for the upcoming summer transfer window and Roma’s Radja Nainggolan is one of the them. Back in February, Italian media first reported that United could make a stunning £30m bid to sign Roma’s highly rated Belgium midfielder Nainggolan.

Since then, we’ve had lots of reports in both Italian and English media about United’s interest in Nainggolan. The Belgian midfielder has been a consistent figure for the Giallorossi this season, and should he make a move elsewhere, the Serie A giants would demand a high transfer fee for him.

Roma have no interest in selling their prized asset though, rather they want to build a team around two of their best players, Nainggolan and Pjanic.

Last month, Italian newspaper  Il Messaggero reported that Roma could be forced to sell two of their influential midfielders Pjanic and Nainggolan in the upcoming summer transfer window in order to comply with the Financial Fair Play regulations.

Nainggolan in an interview with Four Four Two said that he is happy to stay at Roma but at the same time has refused to rule out a move in the summer.

“I am very happy in Rome, but anything can happen in future,” he said.

“I’ve been focusing on our race for a Champions League place. All I’ll say is: I’m very happy in Rome. After all this time, I’m practically half-Italian and it feels like home. I speak six languages, but I’m not looking to move to another country. Then again, anything can happen at this level. We’ll see what happens.

“[The Premier League] is certainly the most talked-about competition in the world. I regularly watch the games of my Belgian friends at Chelsea and Spurs, and there are a lot of world-class players.”

It is quite clear that Nainggolan is happy to continue at Roma but United will be encouraged with the idea that he follows Premier League and he is open to move. It remains to be seen, whether any Premier League club comes up with a big money offer for him or not in the summer.
