Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has confirmed striker Radamel Falcao and defender Marcos Rojo could be in the squad for their upcoming clash against Hull City.

The 20-times English champions host the Tigers at Old Trafford on Saturday. The Colombian international has been out of action prior to Chelsea clash and has not featured for both club and country since then.

Meanwhile, Rojo picked up a shoulder injury during United’s narrow 1-0 victory over Manchester City during the Premier League derby.

United tweeted, “Louis van Gaal says @Falcao and @MarcosRojo5 could both return to #mufc’s squad against Hull City tomorrow.”

Meanwhile, Luke Shaw was forced to withdraw just minutes after the start of the match against Arsenal. The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager confirmed the England international’s injury is not serious as he will be out of action only for “a few weeks.”

“@LukeShaw3 has an ankle ligament injury but there are no further complications, and the defender will only be out for a ‘few weeks’,” LVG said.

Van Gaal also admitted that every player has to fight for his place in the squad as Ander Herrera and Juan Mata have seen their playing chances limited in recent times.

“Every player has to fight for his position and I shall always pick the best of the players. It has to be a suitable mix,” United boss stressed.

The Red Devils are fourth in the league table with 19 points after 12 matches and the Dutchman would be looking for another win against Hull on Saturday.
