£265,000-a-week Manchester United super star says no to Real Madrid

Radamel Falcao celebrates scoring against Everton, his first goal for Manchester United.

Radamel Falcao has insisted that he is happy at Manchester United and is eager to fight for his place at Old Trafford. The Colombian striker who has disappointed in his loan spell for the Red Devils also refused to be drawn into speculations about his future.

In an interview with Colombian radio LAFM,  Falcao when asked about a possible move to Real Madrid in the summer said,”I am in Manchester and happy to be here. I’m fighting and eager to play increasingly”

Falcao has just netted four Premier League goals in 16 appearances this season and given that he is struggling, it is highly unlikely that United could make his loan deal permanent from French side AS Monaco.

The Red Devils had earlier paid £6m to acquire his services on loan and will need to pay a further £44m taking the figure to massive £50m to make his deal permanent at the end of the season.

We had reported earlier that United are still undecided as Mowner Vadim Vasilyev claimed that is yet to hear from United on Falcao’s future. Louis Van Gaal had said earlier that he won’t judge a striker by only the goals scored but United will be better advised if they splash the cash on a player who is relatively young and can take the Premier League by surprise.

Falcao is already 29 and spending a net £50m for his services might be a huge blunder.
