Queiroz fingers Ronaldo as future Portugal striker - will that work for United?

Written by Ahmed Bilal

Portugal’s new manager Carlos Queiroz has said that expects Cristiano Ronaldo to lead Portugal’s front line when he returns from his post-surgical rest.

“I see only one position for Cristiano Ronaldo to play. And I hope he will be playing 90 percent of the game on the attacking line.”

Could Ronaldo play the same role for Manchester United?

  1. This works perfectly for Portugal, and shouldn’t really damage United in any way. Portugal have a deep squad of wingers, but are almost laughable in the striker department. Ronaldo’s ability to play up front will enable them to put two out of Quaresma, Nani and Simao on the wings where they are best. He’s just trying to get all of his best players on the pitch at once and Ronaldo’s versatility allows for that….

It will work. Playing upfront front for Portugal will make Ronaldo even deadlier infront of goal and a better team player. United will benefit massively
